Origins of Infant Temperament Study

November 11

Free

The Child Development Lab in College Park, MD, is conducting an exciting study investigating infants’ social and brain development. We know that infants’ temperaments influence their social and emotional development later on in life. For this study, we are interested in learning about how infants’ temperament relate to their brain development.

To address this question, we are conducting a longitudinal study to record infants’ behavior and brain development. Each visit is unique and optional, and you are asked about your interest in participating in each visit independently. We are looking for families who are open to
participating in the first imaging visit at 4 months and a subsequent behavioral visit. When your baby is 14 months old, we may also contact you about participating in an optional behavioral follow-up visit.

Parents can also find this information on our lab website (http://www.cdl.umd.edu/current-studies/) to read about our Origins of Infant Temperament study and fill out our online contact form (http://www.cdl.umd.edu/contact/) if they are interested in participating.
