Easter is almost here and we would love to see YOU and your little one(s). Come to a pop-up egg hunt April 5-7 in the morning at local playgrounds. These pop-up egg hunts are sponsored by the Peter & Sam Team. Of course, check out our full Easter Egg Hunt Guide for lots of fun egg hunt options too!

Here’s How the Pop-Up Egg Hunt Works

  • Follow DC Area Moms on Instagram or Facebook to follow along in our Instagram stories.
  • Each morning Wednesday through Friday (April 5-7) we will announce where the Pop-Up Egg Hunt is for that day! At the specified playground, there will be filled eggs to find for your little one.
  • The egg hunt starts at 9:30 am and we will leave by 11:30 am.
  • Come to one or all of the egg hunts. We aren’t revealing the specific playground until the morning of, but take note that:
    • Wednesday’s hunt is in southern Maryland
    • Thursday’s hunt is in DC proper
    • Friday’s hunt is in northern Virginia
  • The eggs will have fun items that are appropriate for ages 3+.
  • Head to the park of the day and collect up to 5 eggs per family to allow for other families to participate in the fun.
  • Of course, please find all playgrounds in the clean condition that you find them.
  • If possible, please bring a basket for your child and a picnic lunch to visit with fellow moms and kiddos.
  • These pop-up egg hunts are open to everyone in the DMV, so please share with your mom friends!

Courtney Whittington
Courtney was born and raised in Louisiana where she met her husband (married in 2005). They have moved several times, but finally feel very settled in NW DC after moving back in 2016. She has four energetic kids: Cormac (2010), Evangeline (2013), Solomon (2016), and Antoinette (2019). She thinks motherhood is absolutely wonderful, but is constantly trying to figure out how to manage it all. She spends her days talking Star Wars, playing with legos, doing crafts, having tea parties, and chasing her toddler. Motherhood is wonderful and wild and in 2017 she banded together with other mothers to start DC Area Moms to inspire, learn, and grow together. She loves morning coffee, chocolate, chatting with people since she's an extrovert, a clean house (which is rare these days). She dislikes when her kids don't listen the first time, she abhors littering, and doesn't enjoy shopping.
