Rooted in the belief that everyone is capable of meaningful artistic expression, programs balance classical art training with a modern, exploratory approach. Students learn drawing, painting, and mixed media through hands-on experiences that build confidence, creativity, and skill. Grounded in art and design education theory, Emma’s Art Studio emphasizes process, composition, and technique—offering a thoughtful, fine-arts–driven alternative to traditional craft studios.

wonderful issues altogether, you simply received a brand new reader.
What may you recommend about your put up that you just made a few days ago?
Any sure?
Thanks for reading, Adriene!
Great guide!!, any suggestion for a foreign girl, 4 years old, Spanish speaker, willing to learn English and exchange experiences, (US citizen living abroad), for a few days around August 15th?. Will be in VA, near Springfield . Thanks in advance for any sugestión of summer camps!. Oscar
Hmmm. I am not sure how to go about doing that. Good luck and sounds like fun!
I recently have the good fortune of reading this article. Do you have any suggestions for a South American student in enrolling for a summer camp? A close friend of mine had once been in an extensive three-week summer program and he studied with people from all around the world. Wha he was really proud of was covering highschool biology in just three weeks. Is this even possible?
Hi! Great question. Depending on the camper’s age, I’d recommend checking out Summer Science Academy (http://www.summerscienceacademy.com/) or Club SciKids (http://www.clubscikidzmd.com/).
Hi Paige, thanks for this directory. I run a recreational skincare chemistry school with hands-on experience, for kids/teens from 8 to 15 (and adults !) in Arlington. I am running different sessions for spring break and summer camps 2021. We will be making shampoo bar, coconut hair conditioner plastic-free lotion bar (emulsion, gel, foaming techniques). I was wondering how to be featured? (the link, ‘chat with us’ is broken right now). It is also a good way to celebrate a birthday with a fun and educative experience. Thanks for the follow-up. Elodie https://elodiesnaturals.com/pages/springbreak
Hi Elodie, your camp sounds fabulous! I’d love to send you details on how to be included in this guide – just send me an email at paige @ dcareamom.com. Thanks also for telling me about the button. I’ll work on fixing that right away!
I’m looking for a camp the week of June 7th. Any advice?
Camps filled up really quickly this year! I’d recommend calling around – lots of places have been able to open up new spots with covid restrictions lifting. Fingers crossed for you!
I’m looking for a camp the week of August 22. Seems most camps are done by then. Any ideas?
Hi! Not sure if your child likes soccer, but if so DC Youth Futbol Club runs a camp through August that’s a lot of fun: https://www.dcyouthfutbolclub.org/2022-summer-camps.html. If I hear of any others I will let you know!
hello can you suggest any for first graders in loudoun county area for summer 2023 ?
Sure! What are your child’s interests? The YMCA has a few options that could be fun!
Paige — this is amazing! Thanks for all the hard work that went into this!
Does anybody have any ideas for places that do like one day-long “camps”/workshops (besides steve and kate’s) near NW DC or the adjacent areas of Maryland (e.g. Bethesda)? We are going to be visiting for a week and we are looking for something for 12-year old son to do for like 2 or 3 days (so I’m thinking a couple of day-long things, like a one-day coding workshop, climbing wall camp, etc.)
Hi! DC Way has one-day soccer camps on Wednesdays, and Steve and Kate’s also has drop-in options. If anyone knows of others, please share here!
