Wondering where can kids get free or cheap meals in the Washington, DC area? We have you covered! There are a lot of kid-friendly restaurants in our area, but some have taken the notion a step further by offering kids eat free or cheap meals! The next time you want to take your family out for dinner, remember and support these places that are working to make families feel welcome.

This guide is broken into a four sections: DC, Maryland, Virginia, and multiple locations throughout the Washington, DC area.
Washington, DC
Surfside (Glover Park location only)
On Mondays from 5pm-9pm, dine in and receive a free kids entree when you buy one regular adult entree.
Brookland Pint (Brookland NE)
Kids eat free all day on Tuesday. Up to two kids, 12 and under will receive one kid’s entree menu item with the purchase of one adult entree. Ask for a balloon on the way out!
Duffy’s Irish Pub (Dupont and Capitol Hill East)
On Thursdays from 4pm-7pm kids get a free meal from the kids menu with a purchase of an adult entree and drink.
Honeymoon Chicken
Monday through Friday from 3:30-5 pm, students can get 10% off their meals with a student ID. Make it a new weekly tradition!
Roofer’s Union (Adams Morgan)
Thursdays are family night. Kids under 12 eat free with the purchase of an adult entree Thursday’s from 5pm-8pm.
Don’t forget that in Washington, DC, kids eat free during the summer with the DC Youth Meals Program. Pick up meals at libraries, schools, and other public places to enjoy. Each child should eat and have food security!
Maryland
Periodic Table Restaurant and Bar (Columbia, MD)
Children eat free on Wednesdays with the purchase of a meal that is $13.95 or more. Kids meals include a Burger, Chicken Fingers, Shrimp, or Grilled Cheese.
Tastee Diner (Three locations: Bethesda, Silver Spring, Laurel)
Kids eat free Mondays through Fridays from 5pm-8pm. You will receive one free kid’s meal for each paying adult. Special not valid for carry-out. (Three locations: Bethesda, Silver Spring, Laurel)
The Daily Dish (Silver Spring)
On Mondays, kids 12 and under get one free meal from the kid’s menu with the purchase of an adult meal $12 and above. Not available on select holidays.
Tino’s Italian Bistro and Wine Bar (Columbia, MD)
Kids eat free nights is each Wednesday from 5 to 8 pm. Enjoy all the favorite Italian classics and no after dinner clean-up.
Eggspectation (Silver Spring)
Kids eat free all day on Mondays. One free kids menu entree with the purchase of one adult entree.
Virginia
Inca Social (Vienna and Arlington)
On Mondays all day at both locations, children 12 and under eat for free! This is a fun atmosphere with delicious food.
Whitlow’s on Wilson (Arlington)
Kids eat free Tuesday through Sunday from 4pm-7pm. Receive one free kid’s menu entree with the purchase of one regular priced adult entree.
Monks BBQ (Purcellville)
On Mondays enjoy TWO free kids meal (children under 12) with the purchase of one adult meal. In house dining only and so yum!

Applebee’s Restaurant
Enjoy a free kids meal with the purchase of one adult entree–use this promo multiple times if you’d like. If ordering online, enter promo code KIDS22 at checkout to get the free meal with purchase promo.
Bob Evan’s
On Tuesdays, kids eat free with the Bob Evans app. Max of three kids meals per three adult entrees.
Chili’s
Rewards members can earn free kids meals with their app. This can be used for ordering online or dining in. Dipping chips in Ranch here is a must!
Denny’s
Free kids meals on Tuesdays from 4pm-10pm with the purchase of an adult entree. Some restrictions may apply. Please note that these specials are not offered at all locations. Call location near you for details.
Fogo de Chāo
Daily, children six and under get free kid’s meals. Children ages seven to twelve can eat meals at half-price and still get the Full Churrasco Experience.
Hard Times Cafe (Alexandria, Springfield, and Rockville)
On Sundays from 5pm-8pm, kids get one free kids meal with the purchase of an adult entree.
IHOP
Receive one kid’s menu entree with the purchase of an adult entree typically all day Monday through Friday. However, specials are not offered at all locations. Call location near you for details.
IKEA
On Wednesdays, get up to two free kid’s entrees when purchasing one adult entree. IKEA Family Members (age 12 and under) eat free Monday through Thursday until August 31!
MATCHBOX
On Tuesdays all day, get one free kids meal with the purchase of an adult entree. We love that they typically bring a ball of dough for young patrons to play with while they wait! It’s very thoughtful!
Moe’s Southwest Grill
On Tuesdays, buy one regular adult entree and get one kids meal free! This family-friendly atmosphere is fun and delicious for everyone!
Ruby Tuesdays
Dine in and kids (12 and under) eat free with the purchase of a full priced adult entree on both Tuesdays from 5pm to close and ALL day on Fridays. Their classic American food is reflected on their kid’s menu with burgers, mac and cheese, chicken tenders, and more.
Silver Diner
Join the kids club and earn free meals! With the Kids Club, every fifth meal is free.
While they do not have a free kids meal, they do offer reasonably priced meals and a fun atmosphere for kids and parents: Ted’s Bulletin, Busboys and Poets, and Founding Farmers.
Enjoy these fun places where kids eat free or cheap. Going out to eat as a family can be a lot, so going to a place that offers a family-friendly deal helps out. Big thanks to these restaurants!
