Northern Virginia Vacation Bible Schools
1. First Baptist Church of Alexandria

First Baptist Church of Alexandria promises a week of adventure for your child. Open to all ages, from toddlers to teens. Vacation Bible School will be held July 17-21, 2023 and registration opens in April. You can click the link and see highlights from years past.
2. Alfred Street Baptist Church
301 South Alfred Street, Alexandria, Virginia 22314
Alfred Street’s Megachurch membership allows them to run outstanding programming for youth and children. Their VBS is known across the D.C. metro area! It’s free for the entire family – toddlers to adults are welcome! Alfred Street is located in Old Town Alexandria, though its membership spans the DMV. Plus, it’s intergenerational and family-friendly. VBS dates are TBD, but are always in June.
Washington, DC Vacation Bible Schools
3. People’s Congregational Church
4704 13th Street, NW, Washington, DC 20011
People’s Congregational Church offers Vacation Bible School and a Day Camp. VBS is free and the day camp is $50. There are scholarships available for Day Camp on a first come, first served basis. They are currently accepting parent/guardian volunteers. The Vacation Bible School dates are TBD. People’s Congregational Church is diverse and located in the heart of downtown Washington, D.C.
4. National Presbyterian Church
4101 Nebraska Ave NW, Washington, DC 20016
Next on the list is National Presbyterian Church. Children ages four to 4th grade can attend. From June 26-30, 2023, the little ones can join a week of crafts, games, and more! With a loving environment, your child will learn while growing socially and spiritually.
5. National United Methodist Church
3401 Nebraska Avenue NW, Washington, DC 20016
Join National UMC for a faith-filled and fun-filled week from 9 am to 12 pm, June 26-30, 2023. There will be art, fun, science, snacks, and more. It is $25 per child, with a max of $60 per family.
6. Capitol Hill United Methodist Church
421 Seward Sq SE, Washington, DC 20003
Capitol Hill United Methodist Church hosts VBS every year. This year they hosted in partnership with Ebenezer United Methodist Church. View the website to discover VBS from previous years. Dates are TBD, but typically the last week of July.
Maryland Vacation Bible Schools
7. Bethesda United Methodist Church

This week-long Vacation Bible School promises to keep your child engaged and supported. Held June 19-24, 2023, this church takes creativity and exploration to the next level. Your child will be focused on community and creativity and will leave with newfound friends!
8. Glen Mar Church
4701 New Cut Road, Ellicott City, MD 21043
Located in Ellicott City, MD, Glen Mar Church is hosting Vacation Bible School July 10-14, 2023. We love a church that can get creative with its curriculum. Integrating science and other core subjects is a win for the child and parents! This year’s theme focuses on space: STELLAR: Shine Jesus’ Light. Sign-ups are available now!
