Whether you’re a health nut looking for a good workout, or a first timer who has never climbed through the treetops, The Adventure Park has something for everyone ages 5 and up. Lea Craigie

Lea Craigie is a multidisciplinary visual artist born in Falls Church, VA, raised in Washington DC and West Virginia. Lea had the best of both the culture and politics in Washington DC and the natural beauty of the mountains of WV. It is of no surprise that these are important themes of her contemporary artwork today. Lea was also strongly influenced by her mother and grandmothers, each with impressive artistic skills themselves. She hopes to evoke unexpected emotions in the viewer with her ingenious use of experimental mediums, and provocative subject matter. Whether a beautiful portrait, mural, sculptural installation or a thoughtful political/social justice piece, you will surely walk away inspired.

Sara Curtin

Sara Curtin is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist born and raised in Washington, DC, and she is a mom of 3 year old twins. The Washington City Paper describes Sara’s music as “nuanced, complex, and contradictory”. Her song “Black & Blue” is no exception. Accompanied by melodic guitars, Sara sings emotionally and honestly about the experience of being able to hold space for both joy and pain at the same time. There are so many chapters in life when this duality is present, not least of all the transition to motherhood where there is simultaneous celebration of new love and a letting go of a previous identity (not to mention physical pain).

Sara has received multiple Artist Fellowships from the DC Commission on the Arts & Humanities. Her band The Sweater Set has toured the US, UK, and Ireland playing their original music, were Strathmore Artists in Residence, and were awarded the 2021 Wammie for Best Folk Group in DC.
