Summer is in full swing and we hope you are exploring nature, playing at parks, and enjoying camps. BUT… We’d love to see you too! We are craving time with fellow moms and a fun motivation to go somewhere new. Plus, our sweet kiddos have some energy to get out!
We’re excited to announce our Summer 2021 Park Hop Playdates! Mark your calendars and come! This is VERY informal and simply a playdate, so please don’t stress at all. Just show up! We will all be wearing name tags (and will have one for you too!). We’d truly love the opportunity to meet you. We will even have some goodies for the first few moms who show up. And each mom will get a DC Area Moms pen! Be sure to bring water, sunscreen, a hat, comfy shoes, water gear if you come to a place with a splash feature, and bug spray if needed. Be there or be square!
We hope you have gotten your vaccine, but if anyone is not vaccinated, please wear a mask per the CDC recommendations. We’re still in a pandemic and we are in this together. If you haven’t gotten your vaccine yet, please get your vaccine asap to help everyone!
3 Park Hop Playdates Schedule & Locations
1. Turkey Thicket Park – 1100 Michigan Avenue, NE, Washington, DC 20017
Friday, July 23rd from 9:30 am to 11:30 am
Turkey Thicket has a splash pad, playground, and rec center with restrooms. There is free street parking too. Please be sure to bring water and pack a lunch if you’d like to picnic there afterwards!
2. Cabin John Regional Park – 7400 Tuckerman Lane, Bethesda, MD 20817
Sunday, August 1 from 10 am to 12 pm
THE Cabin John PLAYDATE IS POSTPONED DUE TO WEATHER!!!
We will meet in the tots playground at Cabin John Regional Park. There are TWO playgrounds here — one for bigger kids and one for younger ones. The address above will lead you to the Tots Playground. There is lots of shade, lots of play structures, a restroom, and a large parking lot. The adorable train runs from 10 am to 6 pm that day too and is near the playground for bigger children. Feel free to stay and ride the train and have a picnic lunch too!
3. Mosaic Park – 544 N Pollard Street, Arlington, VA 22203
Thursday, August 5th from 10 am to 12 pm
Mosaic Park has is a splash pad, playground, and lots of shops nearby. There are no onsite restrooms (but shops nearby who may take pity on a kiddo that needs to go to the bathroom!). There is paid street parking and parking garages too. Feel free to bring a picnic and stay a little longer if you’d like!

Will you come to all of the Park Hop Playdates? We’d love to see you there! These are Parks are all mom and kid approved, plus, if you haven’t been to them, it’s worth your time! AND you get to meet new mom friends. It’s a Park Hop Playdates win-win!
Also, if your kiddo is in camp or daycare, you are still welcome to come sans kiddos! Even if it’s just for a bit to say “hi” — we’d love to see you! We know these times won’t work well for everyone, but we hope at least one Park Hop Playdate works for you!
