Most kids eventually get their hair cut. As much as I’d love to do it at home, I do not have the skills to do so. I cut my husband’s hair twice during the pandemic, and let’s just say that it was good we stayed at home mostly because those cuts were not good! Similar to me, my husband does not have great hair cutting skills. When it comes time for our son’s to get a trim, we go to a salon. Sharkey’s

Sharkey’s is a chain that caters specifically to children. Each location has their chairs shaped as cars to help kids feel more comfortable and have fun while seated. Locations are filled with bright colors, and kids even get a balloon at the end. If it’s their first haircut, they get a certificate and parents get a lock of hair. In the DC area, there are locations in Alexandria, Ashburn, Centerville, Gaithersburg, Lorton, and Sterling.
H Street Hair
