Meet our November Mom of the Month: Jill Adams
Here is our Q&A with Jill Adams
1.What was hard about starting your business?
Everything! Starting a business was never part of my plan — but the mission behind Pink Moon was personal. After working in juvenile justice policy for over a decade, the pandemic and the birth of my third child left me overwhelmed and unsupported. I channeled that frustration into creating the in-person community space I desperately needed — and knew other moms did too.
Launching a brick-and-mortar business hasn’t been easy — from permitting delays to constant repairs — but hearing women say this space is a dream come true keeps me going. I’ve leaned into discomfort, tapped into my passion, and built a team of incredible women who share this vision.
Pink Moon is more than a space — it’s a third place where moms can work, move, connect, and breathe. Seeing that come to life every day makes every challenge worth it.
2. What’s unique about your business?
Pink Moon fills a major gap in the wellness space by offering moms a single, supportive place to meet their physical, social, and emotional needs—without guilt. With a range of fitness classes (many BYO baby), flexible coworking, expert resources, and on-site childcare, we make it easier for moms to prioritize themselves.
Our holistic approach helps women reconnect with a new version of themselves in motherhood. Inspired by April’s Pink Moon—a symbol of renewal and growth—our name reflects our mission: to remind every mom that no matter the season, she is whole, powerful, and never alone.
3. What energizes you/fills your cup?
Just before the concept of Pink Moon began to truly take shape, I realized I was really
feeling a loss of identity when I had stopped listening to music. Instead, I was
constantly basing every moment on whether it was an effective use of my time, and I
would default to internet research and Podcasts on issues my kids or family were
facing. Everything I was doing had to move the needle in productivity or meet
someone else’s needs. Realistically, my cup is filled with music, especially live music.
Some of my happiest memories are from music festivals and concerts, where the
collective energy and genuine connection truly makes me feel alive. That’s one of the
main reasons why we focus on intentionally connecting music and movement in our
classes at Pink Moon. We also have some fun and exciting future events that will take
this concept a step further.
