Why I Love Costco

0

I love Costco. As a busy mom with a newborn, a toddler, and who also works outside the home full-time, the less I have to run errands, the better. I’ve been a Costco member for years, but it’s only recently that I’ve embraced how much I love the store. My whole house loves it. The toddler runs around happily and my husband has his sections he loves to look for deals too.

We love Costco so much I got my husband a branded sweatshirt. I also have an embroidered one…

Top 5 reasons why I love Costco:

1. Bulk buying on staple items

Not everyone has the space to store lots of extra stuff, I know. For some of the staple items that a household goes through relatively quickly, buying in bulk can save you both money and time. We go through a lot of cleaning supplies and proteins like ground beef/chicken/fish, and we save a ton of money and time doing other grocery shopping buying from Costco.

2. One stop shop

Not only can you get grocery items, but Costco also has books, toys, clothes, and more. It’s nice to be able to go to one place and grab a host of things on my shopping list. There’s a food court to get a snack or meal. Some stores also have gas stations and air for your tires, saving even more time from making multiple stops!

3. Limited brands means less time deciding

This is probably not something you’d think about. Next time you’re at Costco or any warehouse type store, look at the items for purchase. There are so many less brands to choose from, and I find that it makes me much more efficient when shopping. If I only have to choose between the Kirkland brand and one name brand, I spend less time comparing, googling, etc. and just choose and move on. It makes shopping that much easier – and I love Costco for that!

4. New products to try

Although brand choices are limited, Costco often has new items to try. I really love seeing a new item and trying it out. We’ve found some great things that have now become staples (Motor City Pizza Co. being one of them!). You might be buying a lot, but when you find something you like, it’s so worth it.

5. Great customer service

Anytime I’ve asked for help finding something, the employees are helpful and kind. Any returns are made quick and without any issues. My husband will forever tell how he bought his smoker at Costco, noticed a lower price a few weeks later, and got refunded the difference with no push back. Costco’s employees are top notch, and they are known for treating their employees well. It makes every trip that much better when you see a friendly face at the checkout.

Honestly, I could go on and probably list more reasons why I love Costco. It’s been a lifesaver in so many ways over the years; their pre-made meals have saved us multiple times from having to figure out dinner later on, for example. Much of our wardrobe is from Costco now. It is much more than a place we shop, as its now destination for the family.
