The sun is setting later in the day, the temperatures are warmer, and the trees are blooming. This means that Spring is officially HERE! In between taking Allegra and carting your kids to their sports practices, consider checking out some of the exciting live shows this Spring in our area.

Sleeping Beauty’s Dream

Watch Festival Ballet Virginia’s original production of this comical ballet featuring Princess Aurora’s whimsical dreams. The show takes you on an adventure as fairytale legends such as Cinderella, Prince Charming, Red Riding Hood, Belle, Beast, Snow White, the Seven Dwarfs, Puss ‘n’ Boots, and the Evil Fairy (to name a few!) collide in unexpected ways. The Hunchback of Notre Dame with Young Artists of America

Mother Goose

See classic Mother Goose rhymes such as “The Itsy Bitsy Spider”, “Humpty Dumpty”, and “Old King Cole”, come to life through puppets, props, and original music with this Imagination Stage production.. Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey: The Greatest Show on Earth

Dog Man – The Musical

This fun and heartwarming new musical is based on the best-selling children’s cartoon series by Dav Pilkney. This family show follows the chronicles of Dog Man, a character with the head of a dog, body of a policeman, loves to fight crime, and chew on furniture. This list is not extensive, as there certainly are more shows out there, but will give you a good start.
