1. I am enough

You are enough on the good days, the bad days, and every day. On the days that your cup feels a little empty, remember that you are still enough. Your efforts and your capabilities are enough. When you make chicken nuggets for the second night in a row, it is enough. When you’re wondering if you should have done more that day, remember that it was enough. What you give is enough. What you do is enough. You are enough.

2. My voice matters

You are heard. Your stories are worth being told. You will not be silenced. When you speak your truth, you can move mountains. Your voice can shake rooms when you speak up. Use your voice when you do not feel seen or heard. Use your voice to express, advocate, support, and inspire.

3. I am what my children need

Mama, the best person to raise your children is YOU. You are at the center of your village with your children in your arms. Grow a strong support system that enables you to be the best mother to your children. Believe in your intuition and that you know what is best for your children.

4. I am beautiful

With your brown skin and the crown on your head, you are beautiful. Have you taken the time to acknowledge how amazing your body is? Embrace your stretch marks, C-section scars, post-lactating breasts and everything else that you have been told was not beautiful. You are the standard of beauty.

5. I am worthy and deserving

You deserve the things you desire. You are more than a mother, a wife, a friend, an employee, or a business owner. Go after the things you want. Do not settle. Your worth is not measured in dirty dishes or piles of laundry. You deserve grace. You deserve success.  You deserve to rest. You deserve joy.

6. I can move at my own pace

Life is not a race. No other person can compare to you. No other story is the same as yours. Appreciate each moment and reflect on your journey. Your biggest competition is yourself. Allow yourself the time needed to achieve your goals.

7. I will celebrate myself

Recognize your efforts and do not minimize your accomplishments. Celebrate the little things and the big things. You have faced challenges and overcome barriers to reach your goals. You have every right and reason to be proud of yourself. Do not diminish your accomplishments. Celebrate yourself.

8. I am fierce and unstoppable

When your cup is empty, refill it. When you want to give up, remember who you are. You are powerful and determined. Do not let anyone stand in your way. Get out of your own way. You can do anything you want mama.
