As a working mom of three, there isn’t much time for pursuits beyond work and motherhood. Still, I’ve always felt a strong desire to give back to my community. I am honored that this has meant the opportunity to serve for the second year as Co-Chair of the Make-A-Wish Mid-Atlantic’s annual WISH Luncheon—Women Inspiring Strength and Hope.

This mission means so much to me, and I’m excited to support it again this year. I hope you’ll consider joining me at the Salamander DC on April 24 for a morning dedicated to hope, strength, and the power of community. Help make a difference with Make-A-Wish!
Make a Difference with Make-a-Wish
The WISH Luncheon – Women Inspiring Strength and Hope – is a yearly celebration of the remarkable women of the DMV. It also brings us together to celebrate the extraordinary power of hope. By bringing together over 350 people, we raise money and celebrate the power that a wish can give a child facing a critical illness.
We’re again at the incredible Salamander DC. It will be an afternoon of unmatched networking, great food and drink, and inspiring and heartwarming examples of former WISH kids whose lives were changed when their wishes were granted. I’m so pleased to say that Salamander CEO and co-founder of BET Sheila Johnson will be the keynote with a fireside chat. If you don’t know about Sheila Johnson – just wait. You’re in for a treat!
Before the Make-a-wish luncheon begins, there will be a Sip-and-Shop with local women-owned businesses. There will also be raffle tickets available to purchase for the chance to win some incredible items, such as jewelry, clothing, art, and hotel stays.
There’s currently a waitlist for attending, but if you’re interested, contact Kate Mitchell at [email protected]. If you’re interested in supporting Make-A-Wish Mid Atlantic, you can give here.
The day will truly be amazing, and it’s when moms come together that we make the biggest difference in our communities!
