Ono Brewing Company is a veteran and family-owned brewery in Chantilly with family connections to Hawaii. “Ono” means delicious in Hawaiian.
Ono features a self-serve beer wall with 12 craft beers and hard seltzers on tap, a tropical atmosphere with an expansive outdoor patio, and are family-friendly. They have a full-time BBQ vendor, can accommodate large groups, and have a private event space called “Ono Offshore” available for rent for special events and celebrations.

Many DC area families see Virginia as a wine destination, but do you know about the state’s great breweries? Many are family-owned, making them some of our favorites to support.
First is Ono Brewing, which is veteran and family owned. They’ve got hard seltzer for non-beer drinkers, plus ample outdoor space for kids to play. And you know anything about at DC Moms, you know we’re going to give a plug to our local mom-owned businesses, like Lake Anne Brew House in Reston.

Washington, DC
DC hasn’t been traditionally known as a brewing city, but that all changed with DC Brau’s launch in 2011 as the city’s first manufacturing brewery.
Since then, several others have come to the city, expanding our craft beer landscape. Whether you like more traditional beers (The Public Option) or prefer the more experimental end of the spectrum (City-State Brewing), there’s something for every beer lover in our nation’s capital.
Maryland
Maryland is home to many of our area’s most family-friendly breweries and cideries. A classic is Hyattsville’s Franklin’s, known for it’s great beer and bites, plus its kid-centric general store.
Or, escape further outside the city to Manor Hill Brewing or Mad Science Brewing, where you can enjoy craft beer while your children explore the working farms.
Several MD breweries are closer to Baltimore (Guinness Open Gate and Heavy Seas Beer), which could be perfect stops if you’re doing a local getaway!
